Description:
M72 is a globular cluster in Aquarius, often overshadowed by the proximity of M2.   It is visible in binoculars but a larger instrument and higher magnification are required to make this cluster shine.   In smaller telescopes, some of the brighter members can be discerned.   Like M71, this cluster is rather loose but its stars are quite faint, making them difficult to resolve.
