| M55 is an excellent globular cluster. In contrast with many other clusters, it is rather loosely aggregated over a large 19' area. M55 resembles a fuzzy star through binoculars. With the help of a telescope and moderate magnification, many of its brighter stars are resolved against a background of fainter cluster members. | |||||||||||
