Description:
A nice open cluster containing several hundred stars.   The brightest star in view is an 8th magnitude orange star which is not a true cluster member, but merely a star which lies along the same line of sight.   M52 is easily spotted in binoculars.   A telescope accentuates this cluster's fainter members.   The Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) is a mere 34" away and both objects can be glimpsed in the same field of view.
