Description:
M105 lies close to M95 and M96.   Together the three galaxies make up the Leo Group, and all three can be seen in the same field of view with binoculars.   Telescopically M105 has a bright central region, which fades gradually towards the periphery. At M105's center is a 50 million solar mass object.   Two fainter spiral galaxies lie very close to M105.   NGC 3384 is a 10th magnitude galaxy 7' distant and 12th magnitude NGC 3389 is 10' away.
